Ayodhya is the birthplace of Lord Ram, and thus not only a place of religious significance but also an entry point to other sacred sites. While Ayodhya becomes a city of spiritual enlightenment, day-long trips to places like Naimisharanya, Chitrakoot, and Shringverpur would be very rewarding. Naimisharanya is a very sacred Vedic site, good for meditation. Chitrakoot is also associated with Lord Ram's life as he lived there during his exile. Shringverpur, associated with Nishadraj, speaks of ancient hospitality.
