Since it was nerfed in v1.10 and later versions, the area has lost some of its popularity, but it can still provide players with some entertaining and profitable gameplay experiences.

Although he does not appear to be distinguishable from the other cows in any way, such as by wearing a crown, having a different coloration, or having longer horns, while on hell he is frequently Aura Enchanted, which makes him easy to distinguish.

There are numerous Cow Bosses and champions scattered throughout the area, and because they are all identical in appearance, it is difficult to determine whether or not a monster is the king until you have slaughtered a sufficient number of them to clear the area. The best course of action after being swarmed is to flee the area as soon as possible. Because the Hell Bovines are slow on their feet, but they hit hard and attack quickly,  is important to be cautious when tanking against them, especially in the early stages of the game. As a result of the large number of cows in the Cow Level, it is a difficult level to complete. The level is set outdoors and appears to be identical to any other outdoor setting found in Act One, with the exception of a few minor differences. Although there were a few trees, rocks, and chests strewn about the landscape, the absence of any houses or other structures meant that you had to take on the cows in groups of ten or more at a time, which was inconvenient.
