For the Nikon F-mount and Canon EF mount, Carl Zeiss Optics makes manual focus Otus lenses with electrical characteristics comparable to the Zeiss ZF.2 and ZE lenses, respectively. Zeiss refers to Otus lenses as the "best in the world" in the normal lens and short telephoto categories because they are intricate, no-compromise designs. The 35 mm format is covered.
